JFK Falls in High Scoring Affair

Holy Name got on the board first off a 33-yard RJ Frazier TD, as they defeated JFK 45-31.
The only score JFK could manage in the first quarter was a 36-yard field goal from Eric Bofenkamp. Holy Name would add on another first quarter score when quarterback Jake Schaefer called his own number, taking it in from three yards out, giving his team a 13-3 lead through one.
In the second quarter, JFK would answer back with a huge 85-yard touchdown hook up between Dominic Naples and Robert Segar, bringing the Eagles to within three; however, Holy Name would answer right back on another RJ Frazier run, this one from 27 yards out, putting Holy Name on top 20-10. Holy Name would tack on another score in the second to take a 27-10 lead into the break.
JFK would have a strong third quarter with John Hilty scoring on a 63-yard touchdown pass from Dominic Naples. Then Alec Rossi would puck it in from three yards out to make it 27-24 game. The Eagles would tack on one more score in the fourth on a 26-yard touchdown hook up between Naples and Segar, giving them a 31-30 lead, but Holy Name's RJ Frazier would punch the ball in two more times giving Holy Name a 45-31 victory.
With the loss, JFK falls to 4-3.
The Eagles will hit the road Saturday, October 15 to take on Western Reserve Academy.

Holy Name’s girls shut out Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, 4-0.
The Green Wave improve to 6-3-3 overall while NDCL drops to 1-5-1.
Haleigh Shingary led the way with a hat trick while Brianna Shingary accounted for the last goal. Goalie Julia Balodis tallied three saves.
